1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BloodLink Pro ("the Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform.
These terms apply to all users including donors, patients, visitors, and administrators.
3. Eligibility
To use BloodLink Pro, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a resident of India
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Have a valid mobile number and email address
To register as a blood donor, you must additionally:
- Be between 18–65 years of age
- Weigh at least 45 kg
- Be in good health at the time of donation
- Not have donated blood in the last 56 days (whole blood)
- Meet all medical eligibility criteria as per Indian blood donation guidelines
4. User Accounts
When you create an account on BloodLink Pro:
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- You may not share your account credentials with others
- You may not create multiple accounts for the same person
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
5. Donor Registration Rules
By registering as a blood donor, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your blood group, health status, and availability
- Update your availability status promptly when it changes
- Respond to genuine blood requests in good faith
- Not register with false information or someone else's details
- Understand that your contact information will be visible to users searching for blood
- Consult a doctor before donating if you have any health concerns
Fake Entries: Registering with false information, fake phone numbers, or impersonating another person is strictly prohibited and may result in permanent account ban and legal action.
All donor registrations are subject to admin verification before appearing in search results.
6. Emergency Request Rules
The emergency blood request feature is for genuine medical emergencies only. By submitting an emergency request, you agree that:
- The request is for a real, genuine medical emergency
- You will not submit fake or test emergency requests
- You are limited to 3 emergency requests per day per device
- You will also contact your nearest hospital and call 108 simultaneously
- BloodLink Pro is not a substitute for professional medical emergency services
Misuse of the emergency system (fake requests, spam) will result in immediate account termination.
7. Prohibited Activities
You must NOT use BloodLink Pro to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or donors
- Sell or commercially exploit blood or donor information
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or damage the platform
- Create fake donor profiles or emergency requests
- Use the platform for any commercial purpose without written permission
- Violate any applicable Indian laws or regulations
- Impersonate any person or organization
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
BloodLink Pro is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The platform will be available 24/7 without interruption
- Donor information is always accurate or up-to-date
- Any donor will respond to a blood request
- Blood will be available when needed
- The platform is free from errors or security vulnerabilities
Critical: Never rely solely on BloodLink Pro in a medical emergency. Always simultaneously contact hospitals, blood banks (1910), and ambulance services (108).
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, BloodLink Pro, its creators, and contributors shall not be liable for:
- Any medical outcomes resulting from blood donation or transfusion
- Failure to find a blood donor in time
- Inaccurate donor information provided by users
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, revenue, or goodwill
- Actions or omissions of donors or patients
This platform is built as a student project for the UP State Hackathon 2025 and is provided as a free public service.
10. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account if you:
- Violate any of these Terms & Conditions
- Submit fake or fraudulent information
- Misuse the emergency request system
- Harass or abuse other users
- Engage in any prohibited activities

11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from the use of BloodLink Pro shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, India.
These terms comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Amendment) Act, 2008 of India.
